The Royal Audit Authority (RAA) presented its Annual Audit Report 2024-2025 to the Public Accounts Committee today at the Raven Hall, National council of Bhutan on 31 December 2025.

The presentation outlined the top seven agencies with cases of “Fraud” and top ten agencies with cases of “Errors”. It also discussed ten key recommendations from the RAA, including regulation of external funding, enforcement of recovery clauses, interest on delayed recoveries, full operationalisation of GIMS, control of remuneration payments, compliance of Closed Work Accounts, monitoring of Deposit Works, streamlining rebate collection, digitisation of financial records and fair civil service compensation.

The PAC will conduct hearings with the relevant agencies based on the gravity of the issues and observations at an appropriate time. The findings will be presented to the 5th Session of the Fourth Parliament in the upcoming summer session, reinforcing the PAC's commitment to scrutiny of public expenditure.
