
Vice-Chancellor of University of Canberra Calls on Hon’ble Speaker
11 August 2026Professor Bill Shorten, Vice-Chancellor and President of the University of Canberra, Australia, called on the Hon’ble Speaker of the National Assembly today.
The Vice-Chancellor was accompanied by a delegation comprising Professor Uwe Dulleck, Research Professor and Professor of Economics and former Executive Dean of the Faculty of Business, Government and Law; Dr. Fiona Richards, Chief Global Engagement Officer; Professor Riyana Miranti, Associate Dean, Partnerships & International and Professor of Economics; and Professor Lorne Cummings, Professor of Accounting at the Faculty of Business, Government and Law, University of Canberra.
During the call, the Hon’ble Speaker and the delegation exchanged views on areas of mutual interest, including higher education, institutional collaboration and opportunities to strengthen cooperation between Bhutanese institutions and the University of Canberra.
The delegation is in Bhutan in connection with the 28th Convocation of the Royal Institute of Management for the Master in Business Administration, being held on 10 August 2026.
